New visa rules for travel from Qatar, Kuwait to EU countries

The new European rules on visa requirements moved forward for citizens from Qatar and Kuwait to make it easier for them to enter the most Europeans countries for stay up to 90 days.

The Europeans commission, executive branch allowing citizens of two Mideast countries who hold biometric passports to enter without visas for short stay.

Next to EU Member Countries Ireland, as well Iceland, Liechtenstein Norway and Switzerland will not be included to proposal of Business, tourist, family-related grant visa free access.

Member EU countries push forward to endorse the commission’s plan after an agreement would be drawn up with Kuwait and Qatar.

Since research has been done, EU countries present a low risk on the two Mideast countries of allowing unauthorized migrants to enter Europe. As well Kuwait and Qatar are very important economic partners for the EU, mostly regarded to the area of energy.

The last months European Union has active dialog with Qatar about ensuring gas supplies as an concern, due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and possibility of Russia to cut of supplies to Europe.

EU will continue engaging remaining visa-required Gulf countries who is interested on visa free travel to the EU.
